Flowersoft card

Well, afternoon, I have been away for a few days with a bad Burr, which sends pain up the back, and crafting is a no no at that point, but yesterday I knew I was getting over it, as I made one and a half cards, yippee!
Here's the one that I finished yesterday..........

When I went to the NEC last year, I picked up a goodie bag from the Flowersoft stand, and inside there was a selection of Printed images, ready for colouring.
Although it has taken me a while to get round to doing something with them, I sat down at the craft desk, and found myself colouring in yesterday.
This is such a cute little image, though I must admit, I dont remember doing this myself, well not in the garden at least.
So out came the promarkers, and colouring occupied me for a while, but once I have done an image I dont really like to leave it sitting around for a while, so it had to be made into a card, before it vanished into my scraps tub, to be forgotten about, until I found it again.
So what to do with it now...........?
I was thinking about the predicted colours for this coming year, one of which is orange, of all things,  and as I had unwittingly coloured the rug in orange, I matted onto some orange card, then went hunting for a green background paper. I didnt want a dark green, as I wanted to contrast the greens, and actually found this in a collection of Christmas Papers from Dovecraft, Pepper and Friends.

So card base.............?
I am trying to use up products from a particular company, so I can get rid of them, their products maybe very good, but I dont like their ethics, and had some shaped card bases in my stash, so I routed one out.
I wanted some ribbon to add that little touch, and had some yellow and green Polka dot Organza in my stash, I must admit, that I thought I would never use it, with the combination of colours, but I think it suits this card.
So I carefully trimmed the paper to the shape of the card, removing the little slivers in each corner. then very carefully as its quite fiddly, fixed the ribbon in place, and then the paper to the card base. Next step was to slide the card under the ribbon and fix in place. For a sentiment I was struggling! Where to put it, as its quite a large image, and there isnt that much room on the card not being used. So unusual for me I just stamped direct to the corner of the Main image in orange, and I think it works.
Last but not least was to add the gems top and bottom. They were yellow gems, but I just coloured them with my Promarkers, to make them orange.

And that was it a complete card finished, when I havent crafted for about 4 days. Got a couple more to post, which I am just finishing, so will pop back later, and post some more,

Hugs to all, and thanks for stopping by, xx
