WOYWW

Well Its Wednesday again, that means its time for WOYWW if you have no idea what I am talking about then you need to pop over to Julia Dunnits Stamping ground. Julias Blog

So Whats on the desk........... Cup of coffee most important at this moment in time as I am just waking up.........My "Tool Box" of glitters that have been heavily used especially on the boxes in the post under this one........The One card that I have made that I cant find an envelope for, there's always one, so guess who's going to have to make one , sigh! The green card is actually a failed attempt to make Christmas tree shaped cards using the Pinflair Steppers, I'll have another go later, and also my failed attempt at making the one shaped card I did manage to do de-bossed using the Papermania Christmas tree embossing folder. I was having a bad day yesterday, could I figure out how to get the de-bossed side on the front of the card? No, but walked away had a cup of coffee and the thought "DOH!"
My Dabbers arrive from Joanna Sheen, that was quick as always, so I have been finishing those little snowflake boxes off. There's DS tape, glues, and some new stamps from Joanna Sheen on the right hand side of the pictureand some die cuts that need to be put away, as I was using up the scraps, as I made them, which is a first for me lol.
Heres the previously white boxes I was making, on the Silhouette SD.
except now they are gold! I had some gold spray paint in my sprays box, and its done a nice job of stiffening the card. Then I used Crafters Companion spray and sparkle for some twinkle, and inside they now have acetate coloured using the Tim Holtz Adirondak Alcohol inks, just ready for some ribbon!
Quite a tidy desk desk for me this week lol

Happy WOYWW everyone

The boxes look great. Glad to know your advent calender is still loved, that is my hope for this one which is why I went for Santy and not the train (which may well go out of fashion in a year or 2!). Alas it has be packed away every day and I can't work on it when the little fella is about!

Those little boxes are so cute. I'm glad I'm not the only one to have those kind of days when nothing goes right. It's so frustrating isn't it?
Hope you get your Ottlite!!

Hope you are going to show us the acetate things when they are completed. I have used spray adhesive on the back of the acetate and then applied the gilding to that. That is a stunning result. Have fun with your Silhouette. They are awesome machines.

PS I have tried the Cameo on paper, and also on Centura pearl card which I think is about 250gsm, but not sure about that. My old one would not cut that, but the Cameo can do it easily. Maggie #94

Ah! I'm not caught out quite like that with looking at cars - ulterior motive like a trip to a few shops and some new boots I have seen.
Nice desk you have and that coffee is just what you need to waken up. Love those boxes. Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet.

Those boxes are fantastic. Do you like your SD? Do you do much with the print and cut feature? I'm not dreaming of sugarplum fairies, I'm dreaming of Cameos.

Hi Lou, lovely busy desk, and it always looks good when there's a cup of coffee or tea there!! Sorry to hear you had a bad day and hope you are feeling better now. I have a friend on the ME forum with EDS - tough to suffer from both conditions. I'm a bit rough today but managed to do a bit more on my cards and have taken the doily idea a bit further too - I'll be uploading some more photos before long.

It took me about a week to get over the recent craf show I went to - but it was such fun it was worth the payback!

I'm determined to keep up a good stash of reasonable cards. I'm not really into card making and do it from necessity but always get frustrated if I can't send someone the best I can do!!! (It's tough being a perfectionist sometimes... lol!)

Thanks for your lovely comment on my blog. Happy WOYWW, and take care, Shoshi #67

Hi, quite a lot going on this week! Love the boxes. Oh and I know where you're coming from having a bad crafting day (mine usually happen on the days I don't have the kids and should be able to get loads done - in theory!). Thanks for sharing and for popping by my desk.
