WOYWW 125

Well its that time of the week again, thanks to Julia Dunnit, over at Stamping Ground, the day we get to peek into each others craft rooms, and have a nosey..........
so heres my opening shot!!
Pure Chaos!!!

I have returned to up-cycling last years cards. not a lot else on here other than my knife, scissors and tweezers, and last years cards in a state of development, oh and a card which I feel is quite masculine,
This is an amalgamation of, Kanban Christmas colour yourself kit, and HunkyDory. Hunkydory form the base in the pillars of light card used to back the Ribbon, and the main "Box" and also the sentiment, from this years christmas sentiment collection. Kanban colour yourself Christmas foiled card, Promarkered with Red, and some pearlescent paper.

In side the box, is more pearlescent paper, and some Pillars of Light card, with a Topper that came free with a magazine last year.
next up are some re sorry up-cycled hangers.

Luckily I had 2 of the same topper, so all I did was trim it all to the same size, and add some peel offs which were coloured with Red ProMarker. This one is unfinished, just need to trim it up, add some red lines in this one, and add the ribbon to hang it with.
This next one was from some small 5x5" cards, all with the dog, theme, so I mounted them onto some Red A3 card, and added some silver peel off from Chelford Ltd, and some ribbon  to hang it with.

Last but not least, for those following the Tea set creation....

Its complete with Box and tray.
The tray was created using an overlay in MCS, and some lilac cardstock. The box was "distressed, using Ink It Up Violet. I used some lace peel off for the top and bottom of the box, again promarkered as it was originally white, and I used some Hunkydory Foiled swirl acetate for the box sides. The greeting on the top was again created in MCS, and I used the Sizzix frame described in another post. So its all ready to go now to the NEC on Thursday.
Right even though I have been busy, I have been up and down the M62 again today, and ended up bringing DD and GS home for a few days..........along with her Rottie pup, brother of our Rottie pup, so the pups are in 7th heaven playing with each other constantly!!!!
Tomorrow is Baking day in preparation for Thursday, and Thursday is crafters heaven!! Yippee!
See you guys later, happy WOYWW 126, when Julia posts the link.......
Thanks for all the visits and all the comments, its really nice to know I have done something you like, xx

You have certainly been very busy!! What a brilliant idea using up bits of your old cards I hadn't thought of that. I always pull off bits like ribbon, charms and gems but had never thought of using the actual pictures. I will look at cards given to me now with a new interest!! Take care, Susan x

WOW, WOW, WOW Lou, that teaset looks gorgeous and the box too. Love the idea of up-cycling old Christmas cards. Think I will be looking at my Christmas cards in a different light this year.

See you Thursday :)

That tea set is awesome, and I am so glad to see someone else's desk in a similar state to mine. By the way, about the sneaky peak, I do have the original machine, but it is rather temperamental and does chew the more intricate things a bit. Can't wait for the new improved edition.

Lovely cards, I have a big box of cards from last year ready to recycle, if I ever get around to it! Still doesn;t stop me buying more Christmas stash!

I thnk you're woring harder on the upcylced cards than I do on the 'from scratch' variety!! The tea set is amazing - you must be really pleased.

It's relief to see that my table isn't only one messy place. :)

Upcycled cards are great, I've got a box full of old cards that I do nothing with! Should really have a go. The tea set is quite, quite stunning!

Okay, you win. Your desk is more "creative" than mine, by far! Lol. Great idea, the upcycling. You have some lovely cards as a result! *smile*
