New Challenge running

Well Finally My Craft Studio have dipped a toe in the Waters of Blog challenges, about flipping time guys!!
My Mate Linda is running the first challenge, for a week, and I must admit, I have seen the effect from Midas Metallics, and it is AWESOME!!! So of course I just had to take part, to be in with the chance at some yummy Goodies!!

Here is my entry, the rules are really lax, but it wouldnt be fair not to use at least one MCS product in the challenge, so I did have something to hand....................

As anyone who knows me is probably aware, I am still using my e-craft to extremes, lol, and loving every minute of it, so I cut the Bauble and Mat on the ecraft, ran the Bauble through my Foiler, then gave it a good scrunch!
I needed a Background for it, so used some of the fabulous Tape that MCS produces for us crafters, this is from the Christmas set, and has Noel printed on it, to create the background, added more foil over the surface of the tape with some red tape, and then mounted it on to a matching green base card,

Hope you like it, xxx Now dont forget to pop over to Lindas blog and enter a Christmas card yourself! you never know...............

Play time!

Well Playtime came a calling, along with research etc, and I am still waiting for answers form a company, I'll check back with them today..........

There's 2 shots of this, firstly the background is made using Sheena's Radiant Rain by Luminart, embossed with Papermania's Snow Flurry embossing folder, with some Papermania Green Raffia wrapped around it.
Next up is the word December cut on Lilac base card, which is a Silhouette online design, adjusted to use in my E-craft.
Then I ran it through my Foil-it by Patsy May with some foil from PFL Foils.

I wanted a nice distressed foil look hence the 2 shots, one shows the base card showing through, the other shows what effect the distressed foiling can create.

Hope you like it.........

What a Bargain!! Crafters dream!

Woohoo! well it was woohoo a couple of weeks ago let me tell you!!  I snagged a right old bargain, take a look.................

Look at all those lovely boxes!!!! 48 A4 plastic storage boxes from Weston Boxes!!! And an absolute BARGAIN!! Why? Coz they are "Random Boxes"! Which means they can be any colour! That's the random part! They cost £60 in total including tax and P&P, which works out at under £1.25 per box, see what I mean about bargain!
Now When I saw the pile I never thought I would fill them all, but I have and now I need some more!! Unfortunately the offer has now ended, but I am still on the mailing list and as soon as they announce it again, I am going to bite their hands off at the wrists!!
I just hope I get there before you lot do!!

Sentiment cards

Well the challenge over at Paper Crafting journey, (and we have all had a nice long break, but now back to the grindstone,) is making the sentiment the focus of the card.
So here is my design:

Simple, and stand out from the crowd. We are sponsored for the coming challenge by Louby Lou Designs, so pop over and check out their website for ideas!

Mine is a 7.5" square base card, some 12x12 Papermania glittered parchment, and matts and layers and a sentiment cut on my E-craft, dont worry I'll get fed up of it soon, lol, NOT!

The whole idea behind the challenge this fortnight is the SENTIMENT, so CAS or not, the sentiment has to be there girls and guys!

So pop over to the challenge site, see what my teamies have been up to, and enter your cards!! Good luck!

return to WOYWW

Well, Okay I was bad! When the fab story was spread about WoYWW in the magazine, I took one look at the numbers and did one, as the kids would say. Not that I didn't agree that the Mistress of Desks deserved the recognition, as she does deserve it, but more sheer horror at the mounting number of participants! I mean its hard enough getting round everyone, in a normal week, let alone the sudden influx of desks.......it was like being in a Harry Potter Movie, desks flying in from the left, underneath, above, so I high tailed it, and am hoping that I will be let back into the fold, with my tail tucked between my cowardly knees?

For those that haven't stopped by, I cant blame you, so while I post pics of both desks, yes I now have 2, oops, I will bring you up to speed.............

My craft unit arrived from my dad, finally, and promptly got buried, oops, mean while I still have my old garden table, and some new shelving, which was promptly filled with my shiny new e-craft, sitting alongside my old CR330-20.
I am now on a variety of DT's, woo-hoo, done some You-tube videos, had a bit of a health blip, getting back to normal now though, and doing a bit of Sample work, hence the reason my desks are reasonably clear..........
So whats to see? my sloly growing collection tub of Sparkle Medium, I adore this stuff! A new sheet of stamps, dont know if I can say who by or where from, so I'll keep sch-tum, the edge of my beloved Happy, and some storage baskets of gems, and glues, and washi tapes, that I will get round to using! One Day! And a personal project using Jems designs A Fairy Special Christmas.
Next is back to the old garden table,  Heat gun, new toy, the hot foil print wizard, some stuff you arent allowed to see, Mica's and then encroaching on the pc.....

So basically back to my usual mess, lol, if you dont know what the WOYWW is all about, then you need to take a pic of your desk, pop over here and add your link, then start trawling round everyones desks, and have a good old nosey, with pen and paper to had for any items you might want to buy later, lol, right gotta go, school run starts again!!!!

hugs to all

Secret Revealed!

Okay guess the cat can come out of the bag now! Well One of them anyway!

A week ago I got asked to become a .......................................

Woohoo!!
Well what do you think I said? Of course I said yes, dont be daft!! So now I join the team over at Krafty Hands, and every month we have a challenge sponsored by the Fab Mike and Ian, the prize a £20 gift voucher to spend on the Kraftyhands Website as well as a blinkie.

The Top 3 will get a blinkie to display on their blog too.

So here's my offering for this months Challenge which is "Use Ribbon and Lace, using either an image or stamp by Krafty Hands, or a product from the online shop".

A month or so ago I went to the Doncaster show, and picked up the Team Santa mini cd, mini, yeah right! So I had this cd to hand, sorry for the pune as hubby would say, and when I was told to use ribbons and lace, this was where I went to first of all, I mean any excuse to play, right?

Okay so ribbon and lace........... okay lace behind my topper I think, and ribbon down the side...........okay so what topper to use, and what other embellies?

Right if you read my blog often enough you will know I have an e-craft, my latest toy, and I am still in playing phase with it, so this lovely set of houses just had to be used, with the topper which I printed out on A4 card. It is pre-shaped for either using with your dies, or hand cutting, and all I added was some fluffy stuff on the snow, for dimension, and a touch of iridescent Crafters Companion spray and sparkle. I added the lace to the back of the topper with double sided sticky, and then kept the dimension by using silicon glue to mount it to the card. A strip of lime green dotted gro-grain ribbon and a stamped sentiment over the left side of the dark green Matt, add the houses, and hey presto card done and dusted!

So what do you need to do now then? Well you need to pop to the shop, and get what you need, or what you already have, (you'd be surprised!) then pop to the challenge blog and post a picture of your card using the linky tool, and then keep an eye out to see if you have won!

Right off to play some more, I really must stop going to shows! Well that's never going to happen now is it? lol,

Have fun guys and girls, xxx

Lou

Well back from my sabbatical!

Morning!! Well back from my Sabbatical and things are hotting up!
So today's offering is for the Scrapbook Stamp Society, a beautiful Winter Bird image by Heather Valentin:

so to recipe:
Image from Scrapbook Stamp Society:
7" square base card
3 Layered flowers cut on my E-craft
Promarkers:
Holly, Pine, Forest.
Tan, Cinnamon, Caramel, Cocoa, Henna.
Canary, Pastel Yellow,
Pastel Blue,

Fluffy Stuff,
Glitter,
Green organza ribbon, green Raffia.
silver bell.

I coloured the image using the Promarkers listed, then added fluffy stuff to the berries, I wanted them to be white, as I have a plant with white berries on in my garden. Before heating the Fluffy Stuff I sprinkled the wet product with glitter.
I edged the circle with Holly, and then proceeded to interleave the petals on the flowers, lifting the inner circle so it would frame the image, and layered it all onto the card.
next up was to make the bow using the raffia and organza together, and I lost count of how many times I wound it round, sorry! Then tie the little silver bell under the bow, edge the card base with the Holly Promarker, and a lovely winter card.

hugs
