another new one

I know I know, I am a bad blogger, but I have all sorts of things going on, all craft related, and the blog is a bit neglected, apart from the posts just before the CD is released, one day I'll get back on top of it.
Firstly though a question, does anyone know of a KNK demonstrator in the UK  I really want to see the new zing in operation................well a girl can never have too many machines now can she?

but onto the reason for the post:

Wednesday at 12 and 3 pm sees the launch of the new fill a hole in the market CD  A man about Town. by the boys at Kraftyhands.
This CD is intended purely for mens cards, now how often do we say that? Having said that I think you will agree that the Hat-box wasn't necessarily masculine! And I have been to Krafty Towers today and seen the samples my other teamies have created, wowsers! We all start with the same thing the CD, but what we produce are totally different items from the same disk, its awe inspiring how we all go down different routes with it! Other than the images and papers each of us has gone down a different route, and one of Sylvie's is a STUNNER, LOVE the ribbon threader one Sylvie!
So to today's offering:

An acetate fronted card.

The image is from one of the Top Toppers sheets printed on canvas paper. The acetate is 220 mn embossed with one of the A4 E-bosser/Darice folders that came with my E-bosser, Now I must say here, that I do have my Happy, and a Bug, and the E-bosser, (yes okay I like machinery!) and acetate can be a bit tricky sometimes to get a really good even emboss over the whole page, you know, some times there are parts that don't emboss as deeply as others? But I must admit that I haven't come across this issue with the E-bosser. It embossed the full sheet perfectly!

So back to the card, really simple, a 5.5 x5.5 base card, the background is from the Bonus Distressed papers, and that's it!
Simple , effective, not too fancy, I mean not all blokes like their cards full of ribbon and flowers, and It looks lovely!
Oh and Ian promises to start doing some inserts on the next CD, (had a peek today and its stunning!)!

right off to relax, do something for me, or (sorry for swearing) tidy the craft room, as it really IS a MESS!

And I knew Ian wouldn't be able to resist, but I do hope he has left some macaroons for the guys at C&C!
Oh one final thing, especially as more and more are now buying KH stuff: You know we have a challenge blog? make a card to the theme, and enter before the first friday of the month, if you use KH stuff then you stand to win a voucher from the boys, to buy physical goodies with! None of this digital rewards, proper gear you can hold and stroke! enter over here!

right think I'll tidy up before I do anything else,

lol, have fun

well it IS their birthday..........

Well it is the 10th birthday over at C&C, so as part of my sample work I decided to push the boat out, a bit...........

This will be live on the screen on Wednesday this week, as an offering from the Boys at Kraftyhands, with their new CD Man about Town.
This cd really fills a hole in the market, and is very Noel Coward'ish if you understand what I mean?
However to this project. APART from the Macaroons, glitzy card, ribbon and flowers, its all from the cd. But if you get the cd, you might have to hunt to actually find what I used................as they are actually bonus items,.

This is a 10 inch hat box made from a single repeated 5.5 x 5.5 paper, I simply took a snapshot of it with adobe and then printed it out onto 12 x 12 pearlescent card stock, the quality is that good that I was more than comfortable printing it out that size. and that paper is originally as big as the main topper on the lid, minus the glitzy bit.
I havent done too much with this as the file I used was a Silhouette online store file, cut using MTC, but I must admit that the flowers are a redo, I put way too many on before, so I took them off and just put 3 on.

NOW LISTEN IAN AND MIKE>...................No eating till you open the box on air!!  Keep your sticky little mitts off them, as there are loads in the box!

So what did I use? A 9 inch hat box design from Silhouette online, my Cameo, and MTC, some glitzy gold cardstock, for matting, the tiles are from the cd, as is the topper and paper from the Bonus Distressed papers and the City retreat papers. The scallops were cut using the E-bosser and Spellbinders Classic Scallop edgebilities die, the flowers from my stash, decorated with Cosmic Shimmer Gold Pearlescent glue.

Right, as I made the macaroons late tonight, so they will still be good on Wednesday  I am going to have to drive these to the Boys office in Leeds tomorrow, so, a bit of C&C and then beddie bye-byes for me,

G'nite!

Krafty Hands Challenge

Hi guys

well I know I havent posted much, I am waiting for my darling daughter to get snap happy, as she has what I have been working on, quietly, but you want to see this months card for Krafty Hands dont you? So here you go:

Now this is from one of the older cds by Krafty Hands, this is from the Mary Englebright collection. Its a beautiful cd of old fashioned images, very 50's / 60's to my mind, reminds me of the Peter and Jane books, lol
So this is an 8x8 base card, matching backing paper from the cd, matted onto some pink card stock, for some reason the colour in the photo is more Salmony pink, than the pink pink of reality!
I got some wide reals of lace from Hobby Craft awhile ago, and to fit this months challenge, I had to use a sketch, so out came a roll of white lace, glued and glittered and cut to points and mounted behind the main image, which again was matted onto a backing paper and then the pink card.
The main image was treated with some glitter and crystal accents on the handbag, and a hole punched for the ribbon on the tag.
Finally I made a rossette with some more backing paper, added the pearls and job done,

Honestly it isnt really this salmon pink! Its a nice Pink!

so to win a voucher to spend on the Krafty Hands webshop, you need to firstly follow the main challenge blog, secondly enter the blog challenge, which you can find on the main page, and use a Krafty Hands Product! Now I happen to know that there are thousands of you out there who have Krafty Hands CD's, so whats stopping you from having a go?

Vintage Treasures12

Well todays the day, so one more post after this as a reminder, then silence from me for a while, phew!
My last offering is a hybrid craft:
The box was a plain Kraft Papermania box, until I attacked it with my Krafty Hands Billowing Silk papers, and some kids paints from Tesco's, sorry, but I like the colours!
so dont forget the shows today at 1pm and 6pm, on Create and Craft.

Vintage Treasures 11

Hehe, got a lot done from my assigned sets havent I?

next up is a bit different..............

This has come from the cd, but requires some imagination!

The longer beads are made with papers from the cd, and then glazed with Holtzers Crystal Accents, the smaller beads, as I aint that good, are Lapis beads.
So there you go something differnt!

Dont forget the Create & Craft show on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm, and get supplies from here, and inspiration via the blog, here

Vintage Treasures 10

Wow 10 posts from the few sheets I printed off? That's a LOT!

So next offering:

This is from my main Card sheet. The Boys at KH do give loads for the money, so lets try and describe my main card offering.................
In each card set as it were you get 2 pages, one is mats and layers and embellishments, the other is the topper and alternate images. So an easel card, matted and layered as given by the boys, the main image has been Tim Holtz'd with Crackle glaze, there's beads on wires overlaying the design by the boys, theres Faux Pearls imitating the beads provided in the design, liberal application of faux pearl beads around the frame, the Stopper is mounted onto some laxe trim I had lying around, and the base card underneath has lightly been distressed with Vintage photo.
Dont forget the Create & Craft show on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm, and supplies are here, and inspiration can be reached from here

A really simple pretty card. Backing paper from the CD, and remember the tiled lace papers I mentioned in an earlier post? Well here they are tiled and glazed. Well actually not even glazed, its just some crystal accents highlighting the centre and corners of each tile. A Blue Gro-grain Ribbon and thats it!
So supplies are here, and inspiration from my Teamies can be found here

Here's another one for the Create & Craft show on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm.

This is a simple, clean looking card, on an A6 card base. Again the Topper and matching mat were printed from the cd, along with a co-ordinating backing paper, some gems, and done and dusted. The only bit I added really were the gems and the blue line edging the card.

so the webshop is here for supplies, and inspiration from my Teamies can be reached from here.

Vintage Treasures 7

So what's this sample about then? this is a lovely one, just a small card blank, a topper and matt from the cd, some paper, again from the cd, Flowers punched from the remains of the paper, a touch of ribbon to mirror the image inside the Topper, and some gems. Oh and I added some Spectrum Noir Lines to add definition!

so the Webshop lives here, and my Teamies can be seen though Here!

Vintage Treasures 5

Well Back again, One week until the Create & Craft show on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm.
So here's another one for you.............
This a sweet little easel. Again a 3 3/4" square card base, backing papers from the Cd, Topper and Matt, and as a stopper a small section of one of the tiled lace papers, you'll see in more detail on the show, but they are fab for doing things like tiles, corners, etc,
Again I used the Pinflair Pearl wand for the faux pearls, and would you believe that the blue ones on the bottom, and the orange ones round the image came from the same tube? Because they did, which reminds me I need to order more!

Have fun, dont forget the Webshop, and the inspiration from my Teamies

Vintage Treasures 4

Okay seven more day to go until the show on Create & Craft show on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm, so lets cut to what I have been doing.......

This is one of my Favourites! The stuff you need is hidden away on the cd, so you will have to go find it, its full of scrummy Yummy ness.
I printed 3 of the toppers off, and used 2 of the prints to decoupage the Fan up, carefully trimming with a knife, then scoring and glazing with Holographic embossing powder.
This time its on an 8x8" card base, the paper was printed from the cd, and the inside is covered with a handmade paper. The addition of a few pearls, and I really like this card, hope you do too,

Dont forget to pop to the webshop for supplies and visit my Teamies for more inspiration

Vintage Treasures 3

Well another of the offerings from my latest bout of sample making:
Again you can see more on the Create & Craft show on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm.

This was a scrummy image to work with, so sweet. again one of my 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" base cards, backing paper from the cd, and the topper and its matching layer. I also added some lace trim from the embellishment section of the cd, and finished it with a couple of Cosmic Shimmer faux Pearls.
Check out the webshop for supplies, and dont forget to drop in on my Teamies for more inspiration.

Vintage Treasures 2

Well another one from me:

You can see all these samples and more on the Create & Craft show on Tuesday February 19th at 1pm and 6pm,

so my offering for now.................

Dont forget Mike and Ian do toppers and matching layers for the toppers, and this is a small 3 3/4" square card base, with ribbon, and some lace. The pearls were made using Pinflairs Pearl wand, for some reason it seems to absorb the colour slightly of what it is placed on so is always a perfect match.
Dont forget to check out the webshop, and my teamies for more inspiration,

hugs Lou

Vintage treasures,

Hi guys,

Well here's some of the reasons I seem to blog in spats just lately: Currently I have been working on samples for the Boys at Krafty Hands, for their new disk, Vintage Treasures, on Create and Craft at 1 and 6 pm Tuesday 19th Feb.

So now I can give you some sneaky peaks,

Each of my posts are going to be short, but do remember that I only worked on a few sheets from the CD, there is loads more to see, and you need to visit my Teamies to see more examples.

This is one of the extra toppers from my Card Set, cut into 9 small squares glazed with embossing powder, and mounted on some scrunched up brown paper. Then I just added some ribbon to frame it.

Krafty Hands Challenge

Hi there,

Hope you've been well, I bin busy, loads of stuff I cant show yet, which is par for the course for me, sigh!
Anyway First Saturday of the month, and a New Challenge over at Krafty Hands.........Spring Colours!
Okay I know Spring seems ages away, but I took Youngest for an Interview this week, and they had Daff's in a vase on the table! So it cant be that far away.
So Yellow, Green and Orange are the Challenge for this month!
Firstly: The Rules:

Anyone can enter our monthly challenges, the only criteria we have is that you must be a follower of our challenge blog, we know that taking part is 99.9% of the fun!

To be the monthly winner of the £20 Kraftyhands voucher, you must use at least oneKraftyhands product in the creation of your challenge project.

That's as complicated as it gets!

Each month we choose 3 winners, the No1 winner will receive a £20 voucher (if they've used a Kraftyhands product) to spend on the Kraftyhands webshop and the No1 winner's "blinkie", the other two winners will get a winner's "blinkie" for their blogs!

So my card:
Now People lately have been turning Easel cards on their sides, and having done it, I'm not too sure...............

Mine is a simple card this month, nothing fiddly or phaffily, simple, and more or less as it came from the CD, Daisy Farm.
The Decoupage was printed onto glossy photo card, then mounted onto some orange base card.
Papers were printed onto some Supersmooth and used to Matt onto the base Burnt Orange card stock.
The paper Ribbons and sentiment were printed onto plain card stock, and Matted into position.
The button under the sentiment, was punched and then glazed with crystal accents, as was the Tiny Cow Head under the main image.
Then add some glitter and gems, and a very simple card, quick and easy, and Ideal for the new challenge this month, so what will you create?
Dont forget to pop over to the webshop, and grab a cd or two, as only those who use the Krafty Hands Products get the voucher, otherwise its just for fun!

another one from the shows

right last individual post I think, this one I am particularly proud of.

I think this is my favourite of all the samples I did, and a true mix of mediums and techniques.
The base card has been covered with some photo card reproduction of one of the green stripes Paper. Then there is some parchment on top of that that has been "Parched". Next up is a ribbon from my stash, and a small topper from one of the card sets. finished with a Blue greeting to match the dress of Miranda, and a couple of tiny blue gems, highlighting the "parching", and tying it all together, and finishing it off,
right the last show is on after the school run, and Louis sent a card in too so I have to watch to see if its shown!

Hugs, xxx

heheh, Well Deano liked it, lol

Heheh , well I had a good old chuckle this morning with Deano and Mike and Ian over on Create and Craft, did you?
this time I'm going to post 2 cards  one which Deano was Playing with in this mornings show, and the other is from an older CD which is selling really well apparently, so here we go:

This is my very large never ending card, using 8 toppers, two pages of papers which I printed off onto A3 pearlised card stock, and embellishments.

here are a couple of my samples from the  Vintage Chic CDs:

Dont forget to tune in at 4pm, for more ideas from the boys, xxx
